Microwave and dishwasher safe Imperialware.Blue Italian from Spode has captivated consumers and collectors alike ever since its introduction in 1816. A fine gift for any fan of traditional white and blue ware, this tea set is based on the clean lines of Spode's Ascot shape. The elegant 12-cup teapot, 12-ounce creamer, and 12-ounce lidded sugar bowl depict the pattern's classical Italian scene featuring Roman ruins and pastoral landscape, while the rims and lids swirl with a lovely floral design copied directly from 18th-century Chinese porcelain. Knobs and handles are patterned as well.
The Blue Italian collection includes a staggering array of tableware, cookware, and giftware. This particular tea set is made in China of stoneware, rather than Spode's higher quality Imperialware, and is perfectly safe for the dishwasher and microwave.
